Establish a Committee Structure
The following key actions are recommended for this step:
- Identify a champion or several champions for workplace wellness in your organization that will help establish a committee structure and ensure there is leadership and champions in place throughout the organization
- Determine whether an existing committee structure can be used or a new committee structure needs to be created to support a long-term commitment to workplace wellness
- Secure teams, representing both management and employees, that are dedicated to workplace wellness, guiding the organization through the change toward your new workplace wellness approach and implementing your workplace wellness plan
- Establish a mandate and a Terms of Reference for your workplace wellness committee(s) to help them and others understand their role and guide their work within the organization.
